Finally, at long last, Oh joy, etc, etc, etc.
Just got a Wacom Graphire II. Now I need to learn to use it. If anyone can suggest a few (or even one) fast-track, tuts etc, drop me a note. I'd really appreciate them very much.
I promise to submit somethin' new, as soon as I learn to use it a little.

Perhaps I've been a bit optimitic about my recovery. Had the casts off for about six weeks, and still have somewhat limited motion and some occasional sharp pain.
Maybe I'm just looking for an excuse to finally get a drawing tablet.
In any case, I guess it's finally time to quit complaining and get down to doing something about it. "Use it or lose it"; they say.
I can build models, and that takes as much dexterity as doing artwork.
No more excuses.....!!! Will submit something entirely new,,,, SOON.

Free at last!!!!

Finally got the casts cut off my arms. Free at last, Free at last!
Wrists are still very stiff and sore, however,and motion is somewhat limited, but I'm working on that. Rehab is a bit painful, and the doc says that it may take quite a while (if ever) to regain full motion. Specially the left one.... pretty bad fracture.
Been practicing 'mousing' a bit in PS (really got to get a tablet, soon), and should have something new to submit, soon.
Meantime; practice, practice, practice.

Ouch!!!!

Well............ timing is a very strange thing, indeed. Just when I find that I have some time to devote to my dA activities, I loose most of my physical ability to do so. To keep a long (and somewhat embarassing) story short; I've managed to fall out of a tree (at my age, of all things), and break BOTH wrists. Don't bother to ask,,,,,,,, I'll say no more about the particulars.
Needless to say, having both forearms in a cast makes it rather difficult to do ANYTHING with my hands. There is little or no pain, but along with that, there is little or no mobility, either. No, no sympathy. I deserve none for being STUPID. That's all I'll say about it.
Moving on..... Can't type too well(never could, very well), but I certainly can't "mouse" well enough to do any artwork, so I guess I'll just observe your work, and comment whenever I feel moved to do so.
Be back to normal(whatever that is) soon, I hope.

About Time....

My journal has been quite testy lately, and even threatened to slash my tires if I continue to neglect it. As I find it very difficult to travel very far on flat tires, and the fact is, I can't stand journals that pout, I guess I should update it, and make us both happy.
Actually, I have been very busy at work, and have had very little time to even breeze in to dA. To those friends of mine here, whose work I generally comment on, I apologize, most profusely.
We have been on a most serious push to finish this phase so the hospital can relocate those patients who are currently housed in the wing which is next on the list for renovation.
Other than that, not much else has happened. No time for anything else!! In a lull now, waiting for the hospital staff to finish relocation, and at least I have some time to view some artwork and make a few comments (and update my journal entries, maybe now it will stop complaining).
Definately no time to work on my art. Hope that has changed enough for me to at least open PhotoShop....... and I'll try to get a few views and comments in too.
